Recent Projects

Air Action has completed a variety of projects over the years. Below is a sample of our more recent projects successfully completed and meeting our client’s expectations.

Waitakere College – Completed July 2018

Air Action supplied, installed and commissioned a low temperature hydronic heating system and a state of the art dust extraction systems for the new Wood Technology block.

96 St Georges Bay Road – Completed July 2018

This project was completed for TCLM Manson and is now in fitout phase.  New tenants to occupy are Asahi, Xero and Harrison Grierson. The system installed includes 2 x 600kW air cooled chillers, fresh air process plant, 92 fan coil units, Atrium smoke spill fans and carpark ventilation systems. This project is another Greenstar Project completed to the clients exacting specifications.

Remuera Primary School – Completed May 2018

Air Action supplied, installed and commissioned a Mitsubishi VRF system for the new  two level block and and a Radiator Heating Panel System for the new single level block.

Koru School in Mangere – Completed Early 2018

Air Action supplied, installed and commissioned a Mitsubishi VRF system for the new  Administration building, an Underfloor Heating system for the Classroom and Library Buildings as well as Mechanical Ventilation for the Hall Building.

Alfred Nathan House on Auckland University Grounds – Completed 2017

The project involved the supply and installation of ventilation and air conditioning systems for the Alfred Nathan House building located on Princess Street at the University of Auckland. The building had services removed to allow for seismic strengthening of the structure. The new system installed is a mixed mode system allowing natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation to meet the NZ Building Code. Heating and cooling is provided by two York reverse cycle heat pump / chillers. Natural ventilation is via windows and a central stairwell ventilation stack to provide cross ventilation and pressure relief when the forced ventilation system is operating. Air Action took on all the challenges required to fit services into an historic building with minimal impact on the original building.

Maori TV Head Office in East Tamaki – Completed late 2017

Air Action returned to this building to redevelop it for the new tenants Maori Television after completing the original building in 2007 for Pumpkin Patch. This was taken on as a Design and Build project. New systems added included Central Apparatus Room Air Conditioning with 100% redundancy, new fan coil units to the new edit suite area and split systems for the news room, UPS and tape store. The project also included an upgrade of the existing BMS.

Giltrap New Offices on 119 New North Rd – Completed 2017

Air Action supplied, installed and commissioned a Daikin VRF systems, Mechanical Ventilation and a  BMS Control System. The VRF system comprised eight outdoors units and 23 indoor units with a central controller. This was a Greenstar project with a unique set of criteria to achieve the rating required. The systems installed are serving carparks, workshops, showrooms and offices. Monitoring of the CO levels being a big part of ensuring a safe working environment.

Mercedes & Hyundai Botany Dealership – Completed 2017

Air Action Designed, Supplied, Installed and Commissioned a Mitsubishi VRF system,  Mechanical Ventilation Systems and a Central Control System. The system comprised of two air handlers, 16 fans, 4 outdoor units and 34 indoor units, all controlled via a central controller. Mechanical ventilation was installed to comply with the current AU/NZ standards regarding vehicle workshops and showrooms. CO monitoring to ensure worker safety. The showrooms are fully air conditioned and air distribution is achieved by high level jet diffusers providing a discreet and serviceable design.

MSOCIAL Hotel – Complete in 2017

The project involved the supply and installation of ventilation and air conditioning systems for the refurbishment of a 200 room hotel, originally know as the Copthorne Hotel now M Social located at 196-200 Quay Street Auckland.

This project included supply and installation of a 600kW air cooled chiller, 2 x condensing boilers, air handling units and 235 fan coil units. The air handling units installed where designed with heat recovery providing energy loss reduction of up to 120kW.

Devonport Library – Completed in 2015

Air Action supplied, installed and commissioned air conditioning, underfloor heating and ventilation to this award winning building back in 2015. Systems installed include Mitsubishi split systems, condensing boiler and controls system providing operator controlled automatic windows to offer a full naturally ventilated system in summer.
